German Cockroach

Latin name : Blattella germanica

Physical characteristics : Also referred to as cockroach, it is a bronze to light brown color. It has two dark parallel streaks that start on it's head and continue unto the base of it's wings.

Behaviour : This roach is the most common and wide spread of all the species. It can be found everywhere around the world. In colder climates it's almost only found around homes as it is not a fan of the cold.

Diet : The Germanic roach is omnivorous. It particularly loves starch, sweet foods, fats and meat.

Reproduction : Each spawn produces a large number of nymphs, the period of time is very short between birth and sexual maturity. Furthermore the mother carries it's spawn with her during it's development.
